shutdown/halt/poweroff causes reboot

Hi,

Whenever I use the halt/poweroff/shutdown command as a superuser (as is necessary) it causes my computer to shutdown but then start back up again within 5 minutes rather than powering off.

I am dual booting with Windows and shutdown from the windows machine works fine, so it isn't my hardware as such.

I am currently using xmonad 0.9.2 with SLiM login manager, however I don't know if either of these are causing the issue.

Any help with a solution or diagnostics will be appreciated.
