Hi all. I have a Dell L502X with both HDMI and DIsplayPort connections and I'm trying to connect it to my TV. Now everywhere I've read tells me to just forget about the HDMI port since it's not going to work so I bought an HDMI -> DisplayPort adaptor. This makes the picture come up fine but I can't find any way to make sound come out of the TV speakers. I opened up alsamixer and nothing seemed to be muted. Not too sure what I should do next so any help would be much appreciated!
