[Solved] Alsa mixer

I'm currently using  XFCE4 with with ALSA, which continues not to say on the same settings once I reboot. Is there a command to control the audio or even better is there a way to keep it on the setting I've left it?

Never mind resolved my problems by randomly installed Alsa plugins & fiddling with commands, I can now turn my sound on/off without needing to open an X interface.
