Mousepad lags Synaptic driver

Okay so I have a Compaq CQ60 presario 100EM and am using the synaptic touchpad driver.  (if i don't the mouse is crazy fast...)

The problem is every now and then, say 5 minutes or so Bam!
The mouse shudders to a near halt when I try to move it, It's not hardware, because on my XP partition all is well.
Also there is no lag on Ubuntu or any other Distro beside's a gentoo spin-off In tried once.

Apologies for the wall of text....

Re: Mousepad lags Synaptic driver

You can try to play with mouse driver's properties:
`xinput list` - to find out the id of your touchpad
`xinput list-props <id>` - to list currently set props
