gnome 3.2 issues

Hello,

I have some issues with gnome 3.2 release. I'm not sure if archlinux packages issues or gnome upstream.

- hotplugging notification

When I plug device, the pop-up notification at the bottom not dissapear if I not click to open the device. The same with the right botton icon, the status bar is persistent so I have to open the volume two times to dissapear the status notification bar.

- online account

Only google accounts in config section. What if I want create or delete msn account?

There is no contact list where I can see only connected friends? Not in gnome contacts.

Delete option in gnome contact is disabled.

The open menu in chat pop-up do nothing, Can't I chat in legacy window?

- How to change totem and eog dark themes?

Thanks.

the dark theme is adwaita. gtk3 themes can have a dark variant and apps can use it.  to change the theme, use another one?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: gnome 3.2 issues

Hello wonder,

first all thank you for you great job packaging gnome and working here.

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660397
Not the same bug, I'll report it.

I have read http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/3.2/ but I can't see anything about msn accounts. I configured mine in empathy in 3.0 and I would like remove it now, but I don't see how to do it. This not appear in online accounts.

Empathy didn't show any window now, not user list window and not chat window anyway.

I write so bad english, sorry.

Thank you.

Re: gnome 3.2 issues

for now online accounts support only google.

if empathy doesn't show any user list, look to see if is started and hidden and kill it.

I'd like to ask something related, how do I make all gtk3 apps dark?

I had the same problem... I first tried the settings.ini trick, without success (setting gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme = false)
Then I renamed 3 files in /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0 :
gtk-dark.css
gtk-widgets-assets-dark.css
gtk-widgets-dark-overrides.css

I can't use the dark adwaita theme anymore, but no problem for me.. I know have the same theme for all my apps!!

Re: gnome 3.2 issues

Another issue: Can I somehow make the hotplug notification to ignore some devices?

It shows my containers(luks/encfs) as "removable" device at every boot with interaction needed, I have to click into the message.

Or -as a last option- deactivate this thing completly?

Goto System Settings ---> Removable Media

Check the Never prompt or start programs on media insertion option. That should put an end to your misery.
