Hi All,
This one's got me stumped!
If I start Gnome Shell / Mutter WITH Compositing, only the first "frame" (if it were an animation) gets drawn - the background, menubar at top and first notification. From there on in, only the mouse pointer gets redrawn as it moves and everything else stays as it is. Menus and applications all work, you just can not see them. For example, I can press F12 to bring up Guake and my mouse pointer changes to text-select, but I cannot see Guake nor what I am typing, it's still the just the desktop background & menubar as when it first appeared.
If I switch OFF Compositing in xorg.conf everything works fine, just without any of the compositing benefits.
Anyone have an idea? I've spent two hours looking through pages and pages of compiz/compositing issues and I can't find anyone with anything similar. Using nvidia drivers.
