Fixing soundcard support on MacBook Pro 5,5

Hey,

I have a MacBook Pro running Arch, but I  have trouble getting my sound to work properly.

Most things are working after I set settings with alsamixer, saved them with `alsactl store` and added Alsa to my DAEMONS array to load them. But I'm still having problems with my audio-in/out port being turned on all the time.
It has some sort of red light inside it, and it should only be lit when a jack stick is plugged in, but it is currently lit all the time, even if I have not plugged in a stick after last reboot.

The current module used for the sound is snd-hda intel, but I'm not really sure what exact soundcard I have, and have not been able to figure it out.

How do I get it fixed?

Thanks.
