WARNING: no socket to connect to

I recently did a update and alot of changes were made to about 100 packages which included network manager and a few other key features. I tried to update again and I got this error:

$ sudo pacman -Syu
Password:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
WARNING: no socket to connect to

Download Results:

I haven't encountered this problem before, which is why I am coming to the forums for help. I haven't found any useful articles yet.. if any of you guys can give me a link or tell me why this is happening I would appreciate it!

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

It's an aria2 specific error -- Really not a pacman problem.

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

I've changed the pacman configuration so that I can update... but I am still not sure how to fix this error for aria2, should I just change some settings in aria's configuration?

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

We know it has something to do with the package.. but I have changed the configuration file and looked around my system for any clues... I can't find any

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

Same message with msmtp. Looks like it's related to gnutls trying to use gnome-keyring: http://www.digipedia.pl/usenet/thread/18916/3987/
The error disappeared after I uninstalled gnome-keyring, which I didn't use anyway smile

edit: reported as a bug: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26271

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

Out of all packages installed on my system, gnome-keyring is probably the most annoying.

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

I believe the new update works... but it still has the same error but the difference is that it actually downloads without any trouble.

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

Has anyone figure out how to fix this glitch? I guess its just a minor problem, but I wonder if it will cause problems in the future.

Re: WARNING: no socket to connect to

There is a updated version 3.2.2-3 in the bug report noted above - https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26271  It does fix the problem
