Hey,
I am using the current stable version of flash (multilib/flashplugin 10.3.183.10-1) and am experiencing very high laptop cpu temperatures when flash is used on a website (same issue for epiphany, firefox, chromium).
Do you know if this can be fixed? It is very annoying if it runs up to 62° or even more and starting to be very loud while watching NFL GAMEPASS. However this overheating issue appears also if there is just one little flash animation on a website.
Thanks for any help!

Have you tried the AUR flashplugin beta? I don't know if it will fix your situation, but it is worth at least trying.
Edit: Also, check what the hardware acceleration setting is. Sometimes having it on messes things up like this.

I laugh, yet the joke is on me

Have you set Laptop Mode Tools in order to manage the scaling of your cpu frequency? If not, that may help:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Laptop_Mode_Tools (with particular attention to CPU frequency section)

I followed your advice but am experiencing overheating in both versions (flashplugin and flashplugin-beta) and with en/disabled hardware acceleration :-/
Yes, I also have a working frequency scaling ...
My machine is an Asus UL30VT. It seems that it does not like flash?!
