Well, I just wanted to tell you all that arch is damn fast!
i just reinstalled my arch-linux, (didn't need some programs/files since I am taking my masters degree in computer networks/science next week) well, back to the topic, it took me roghly 30 minutes to reinstall the whole Arch, including all the programs that I use and make my mails come back and every other file that I work with...
It is just amazing
Never have I reinstalled a complete linux (or windows) system in less than 30 minutes...
well, that was all I wanted to say..

Agreed, CyberTron! It's quick enough that I often simply reinstall rather than upgrade.

On this topic, I just reinstalled Arch myself and was amazed at how little time it took, especially since I was able to copy my config files over from the other partition... took about 15 minutes.

Yep, I maintain copies of my config files on a USB flash drive for the same purpose. It only takes a few minutes to be up and running again.

Using this technique might gain you even more speed in the future -- or if you have several Arch install to do, per day
