(SOLVED) browse repos?

Hi everyone,

I have found the AUR is easy to search online, but how does one browse the packages available in the others?  Is there a website or some command to enter to see a list of new/popular packages available?  Sorry for what may be a very simple question, but I'm slightly annoyed at the interwebs for not finding me an answer.... Thanks!

Cheers!

Popular packages: https://www.archlinux.de/?page=PackageStatistics (it's a pretty big page, may load a while)

There's no easy way to know if any new packages have been added, but reading the mailing lists helps.

You all are brilliant, and helpful! I installed the Bodhi Linux distro on my Eee PC netbook and found the little penguins that walk around on my desktop endlessly entertaining and  want to find the package to install for my Arch e17 desktop, if possible.  Thanks so much!

If you ever lose your printed copy of the link: Look in the upper left corner of the page, it is between 'Home' and 'Forums'.

If it's for the penguins, try "pacman -Ss penguin". I sometimes even talk to pacman, like: "pacman -Ss penguin walk". Sometimes I scold it and it reveals interesting packages.

Not for anyone who doesn't use the retina-wrecking default theme. sad

Thanks for the lol

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.
