SkyTod, please change this title to something more descriptive.

"Gnome bug" can be anything, and there are myriards of possibilities currently. tongue

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

The way to check would of course be to try another DE on the same card. Also try experimenting with different screen resolutions, refresh rates and colour depths. I get something similar when I set my resolution to 800x600 (not that I would voluntarily do that).

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

what video card do you have?

glxinfo | grep -i opengl

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Kde is fine. Resolution is native.

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

I have the same bug. The resolution worked fine until 2 or 3 months ago. I assumed my videocard got damaged. But after finding this thread I am sure that it is a configuration error. Funny thing is that the desktop is ok so far and only the gnome panel has wrong colors.

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

Sorry for the late reply. It took some time to get to my parents and make a screenshot from the desktop.

Videocard: GeForce FX 5200
Driver: Nouveau 7.11.1-1

As you can see in the screenshot, only the Gnome Shell looks wreid. The desktop is ok. Strange, isn't it?

The same videocard, the same driver, the same bug.
Ok. I've filed bugreport in clutter bugzilla.

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

I had something similar in the Opera browser when browsing the Fedora forums with Fedora 15 Gnome.  Oddly I did not see this at other websites.  An update of Opera from the Beta version I was using fixed this issue.

Don't know if this clutter/mutter bug might be taking place in the posts above.  There is a workaround in comment #1.

Re: Gnome-shell 3.2 videobug.

I just had a strange experience. Changing the Gnome theme to a new one made it nearly disappear. I have still some "noise" in the desktop rendering, but you can read the fonts clearly. So my advice: try another theme.
