How do I put a square bracket i square bracket into the forum?

I have a post where there is the above in the information I need to present; the only way I can figure out to put it in is to put quotation marks on either side of the square brackets, but that appears in the final post.  How do I seamlessly put in a square bracket i square bracket so it shows up correctly?  Just normally, I get an error about a lack of a closing square bracket /i square bracket.

You can add spaces like this [ i ] - it's a tag https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode so it's a "forbidden" combination. We don't have the equivalents of <nowiki></nowiki> tags on the forums.
Using [ code ] tags is another way:

[i]

Re: How do I put a square bracket i square bracket into the forum?

Try inserting an invisible comma. From the keyboard type left bracket, then Ctrl+Shift+U, then 2, 0 , 6, 3 and then Enter.  Finally type 'i' and right bracket.  I can't do it here; I'm at work on a Windows machine.

You can also use an app like gucharmap to copy and paste the invisible comma.

[⁣i] <- works :-)
