[SOLVED] Why gcc-ada,fortran,go,objc put in core repository?

I don't think they are necessary to put in core.

[2011-08-22 18:43] installed gcc-ada (4.6.1-3)
[2011-08-22 18:43] installed gcc-fortran (4.6.1-3)
[2011-08-22 18:43] installed gcc-go (4.6.1-3)
[2011-08-22 18:43] installed gcc-objc (4.6.1-3)

This seems more likely a question to be asked in the mailing lists or as a feature request on the bugtracker. Devs are known for not populating the bbs

Did you install the whole [core] repo? Why?

Re: [SOLVED] Why gcc-ada,fortran,go,objc put in core repository?

As I know in manual and default install.  We should install the 'core'.  And the default install CDROM should put all [core] in it.
In other PKGBUILDs, they assume the core have installed.  So, they don't require to put the dependency in the PKGBUILD.
As I join the archlinux several years ago.  I think the rule is as I described.
I think these language should put as [community], they are seldom used.

You should install the 'base' group, not the [core] repo.

Ya, you remind me.  Sorry, Karol, you are correct.
I'm forgot [base].

But as I know these package should not so popular.
