in GLX mode no keyboard

hi to everybody,

i have a strange problem, or better i've never seen or heard it......

starting a game in GLX mode the keyboard disapper..... i can't use my keyboard,....except for CTRL+ALT+F2 for killing the bad app.....
instead with SDL mode no problem

e.g. launching xonotic-glx the keyboard doesn't work
instead with xonotic-sdl everything goes fine

thanks

Re: in GLX mode no keyboard

I know this post is 7 months old, however I have the same exact issue when using Gnome 3, it's like GLX titles refuse to "Grab" the mouse and keyboard from Gnome Shell [same issue when using Cinnamon as well]. Does anyone at all know what the issue is and how to resolve it? This has been an on-going issue for me for quite sometime now and has gone unresolved over the past few revisions of Gnome 3. It occurs on other distrobutions as well.

I've even executed GLX mode titles [Nexuiz, Xonotic] from a terminal window to 'debug' the issue and it's as if the game itself is just an "overlay" on the screen because ALL keystrokes passes right to the terminal window completely bypassing the games input fields, and renders the game unplayable since the character on screen can't move.

My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 550 Ti and the drivers i'm using are the latest as of this posting.

Any and all help is needed please. Thanks in advance! big_smile

Re: in GLX mode no keyboard

Please anyone know?

This issue is happening in fullscreen mode for GLX games, this includes most Quake 3 engine based  games [Alienarena, etc] as well as GLX mode Xonotic and Nexuiz.

I've been needing help with this for along time, I never posted about it because I was hoping it woulda been "fixed" by now in Gnome 3.x but it never had been. Anyhelp with this is sorely needed and im very thankful for any help.
