rtorrent connects to very less seeds/peers

I have recently started using rtorrent.

My torrents connect to very less seeds.

And, I made a script a while ago to check seeds/peers for a particular torrent. i used that script to see seeds/peers on a particular tracker (which is included in torrent file) for this particular torrent & I got this.

So, there are many seeds/peers but very less are being connected. Can I do something about it? I have a 10Mbps connection & this sucks.
Also, if it matters, I use udp trackers for torrents because HTTP trackers are blocked at my place.
