[Solved] No network on install

After running arch for about a year, decided it was time for a fresh install.

During install and network config, DHCP polls but doesn't get an IP. I'm able to get an IP with static for some reason but ping get's no results (even the router). When I continue with the install anyway, arch loads my network driver just fine on boot (Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 03);      Kernel driver in use: r8169)

ArchBang and Ubuntu live cd's are able to poll an IP with DHCP just fine. Not really quite sure where to go from here.

Re: [Solved] No network on install

so what i'm getting is that the daemon is not being started during install?
what image are you using?

I'm just curious, when you boot up the image do you get failed when starting network daemon?

What error does dhcpcd give you from the command line?  Does it timeout?  You can try setting the timeout higher and see if that works.  Alternatively you can try using dhclient instead of dhcpcd.

Re: [Solved] No network on install

Thanks for all of the responses. I think it was an issue with my router. I tried the install at work and it connected just fine, same install disk and everything (2011.08.19 x86_64). I'm going to go ahead and mark this as solved.
