alsa 1.0.9 and Doom 3

After upgrading to newest alsa I noticed that sound quality in doom 3 became scratchy, almost robot like kind of thing.

The solution I came up with was running doom with OSS driver. Now the sound is working fine. Anyway, here's the command line I use to launch Doom 3 from now on:

doom3 +set s_driver oss

Not only that, I also noticed that the sound is disbalanced to the left in the system, and I cannot correct it with alsamixer
