Archlinux advantages...?

Hello, I'm a Ubuntu user and professional programmer.

I need a good support for these languages:

1- Java //most support
2- C/C++
3- Python
4- HTML / CSS
5- JavaScript
6- PHP

I need to know if Archlinux have a good support for items above, have a good and stable Internet management, and have compatibility with a lot of hardware drivers.

I'm not interested in media players, graphical editors, etc.

I need a OS to develop softwares.
May I change Ubuntu for Archlinux?

Thanks from now.

Arch is a rolling release, which means that you will have much newer versions of software than you are accustomed to on Ubuntu.

Other than that, you can make it do whatever you want.

Sounds like a STFW. If it's open source and Arch doesn't have it, just download it and build it yourself.

All I can say is try it.  IMHO, its as good as anything out there for development.

This is not really a Programming and Scripting issue.  Moving to Newbie Forum
