reinstall gnome components

I'm not quite sure why.  But for some reason, some gnome components got messed up.  I used to be able to take screenshots and now all of the sudden today I couldnt.  I went to install gnome-utils, and pacman said it's already installed.  So I know I've installed it before.   I ignored it and installed it again.  And now it works.  Then the same thing happend with gedit.  They both work now.  But I'm not sure what all else is messed up. 

Anyone have an idea what could have caused this, should I be worried about it?
