No Keyboard and Mouse Response after system upgrade

Today, I did an upgrade to my Arch Linux x64 System. It upgraded 288 packages (including xorg server).
But, since then, when I boot into Arch, Arch doesn't interact either with my mouse or keyboard.
What might happen?

Thanks in advance. smile

Absolutely no idea.
Any chance of seeing some logs?

Re: No Keyboard and Mouse Response after system upgrade

I disabled LightDM, which is my current DM, and, both mouse and keyboard seem to be working fine tongue
Yes, since then, Arch doesn't recognize my eth0 and wlan0 interfaces, even running the
ifconfig -a
and
iwconfig
commands

Re: No Keyboard and Mouse Response after system upgrade

You'll need to provide us with some logs if you want help.

ifconfig (and maybe also iwconfig) has been removed from archlinux. It's in the news on the frontpage.

net-tools has not been removed, only deprecated.

Re: No Keyboard and Mouse Response after system upgrade

Your Xorg.1.log seems to be showing the right stuff... all the lines related to the "evdev" input driver. The log you got from ssh doesn't have success or failure messages about evdev... just no message at all. Are you trying use X with no config file? Look at the wiki to see some input configurations.

Today, I did an upgrade to my Arch Linux x64 System. It upgraded 288 packages (including xorg server).
But, since then, when I boot into Arch, Arch doesn't interact either with my mouse or keyboard.
What might happen?

Thanks in advance. smile

I have this same issue. I resolved it by downgrading to the previous version of udev. I don't know why the newer version causes the failure of X hotplugging.

Re: No Keyboard and Mouse Response after system upgrade

Was wondering if anyone has fond a fix for udev 174.

I been doing fine with udev 173 untill I broke my system after trying to update the kernel via pacman which used mkinitcpio 0.7.4-1

Thanks again smile
