Finding old packages (NLUUG)

Hey I did a quick search but I didn't find any info about this mirror.  Anyway I thought I'd mention it since it contains some older packages you may not find in the default mirrors in case you need to downgrade and did a pacman -Scc like me.

http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/di … 8/os/i686/

I used it to find the old ALSA 1.0.8-2 packages when I needed them because 1.0.9 was giving me plenty of problems.  A simple pacman -U /pkglocation/pkgname did the trick.

Hope it helps someone out.

You can use ABS to build old versions by using the PKGBUILDs from cvs.archlinux.org.

Re: Finding old packages (NLUUG)

Thanks for the info.  I just checked the Wiki as I did the last time (by searching for "downgrade"), and I found the same page as before.  It lists the info about ABS and also another mirror.  Was that there last night---was I just so out of it that I didn't see it?

Looking at the page history, it seems I just missed it in my tiredess.  In any case, maybe someone will add the NLUUG mirror under the tu-chemnitz.de one, since I don't seem to have write access to the page to make an edit.

Re: Finding old packages (NLUUG)

It seems to have been a temporary bug.  Now it's working fine.  Cheers.
