udev problem, dvd tray opens automatically on boot

hello
Yesterday upgraded my system and today rebooted. Imagine the suprise, as the system is booting my DVD tray started to open by itself. If i close the tray it opens automatically.
I traced the problem to udev package upgrade. Downgrading from udev-174-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz to udev-173-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz made the problem go away!

Any suggestions??

My suggestion is to report a bug, if it's not reported already.

Yes, it happened to me after the update. Also got some message about no symlinks etc. Removed a file called 9-CDROM something from /etc/udev/rules.d and everything was fine. More than anything it was reading my 3G data card as a CD !! I was cut off a couple of hrs and after doing this and a little bit of tinkering was back on the road again.

These kind of updates need some more explanation though.
