Hi, just installed Arch on my laptop's new SSD.
I can't get any sound at all.
I've already tried:
- putting myself in the audio group
- unmuting PCM, and Master channels with alsamixer
- running alsaconf as root: It cannot detect any working soundcard
I used this same laptop with Arch few months/years ago, used this with Xubuntu, Linux Mint Debian Edition, and it worked then, but now, it doesn't and I don't know what to do.
Ready to try all your suggestions guys, thanks !

Is there any chance it's disabled in BIOS?
Thanks,

Is there a kernel module that needs to be loaded? Which soundcard is it? (lspci)

Nope, never had to modprobe a kernel module for my soundcard before:
[david@laptop ~]$ lspci | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 06)
EDIT: [SOLVED]: PCM and Master were not muted to me, because they were at 100% but behind the PCM Volume BAR there was [MM].
After some research, I saw that I had to push M twice in order to unmute Left, and Right channel...
