[SOLVED] pacman-error: local database version is too old

When trying to update my chroot today (yes - after about 10 months) I ran into the following pacman error:

error: local database version is too old
error: failed to init transaction (database is incorrect version)
  try running pacman-db-upgrade
error: transaction already initialized

pacman-db-upgrade produces no result - and - I downloaded the .db files manually and put them into /opt/arch32/var/lib/pacman/sync to no avail too - any hints are appreciated

You need to run pacman-db-upgrade either in your chroot or with the full path to your db   (pacman-db-upgrade opt/arch32/var/lib/pacman)

I did run it in the chroot, but it did not work - but - running it from my normal system with the full path did the trick - thank you Allan. smile
