Firefox and Thunderbird icons missing

Ive just upgraded my system (kernel 3.1.0-4, gnome 3.2.1-1, firefox 8, etc, etc) and after rebooting firefox and thunderbird icons are missing in my favorites and in the applications panel. Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Firefox and Thunderbird icons missing

Thanks for the reply.

['gnome-terminal.desktop', 'nautilus.desktop', 'audacious.desktop', 'firefox.desktop', 'thunderbird.desktop']

Nothing out of the ordinary.  Nautilus, gnome-terminal and audacious icons are fine. I dont know what to do.

Re: Firefox and Thunderbird icons missing

run as root gtk-update-icon-cache -q -t -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor and then restart gnome-shell (alt+f2, type r and then enter)
