Hello, I have been using Ubuntu for 2 years but now I want to try archlinux. So, i installed archlinux and gnome 3 correctly and it works. But wireless doesn't work and i know that i need the driver ath9k, so i tried to install and i found that if I install the package compat-wireless it should work. So my output is this:
$ yaourt -S compat-wireless

So, I don't know how to repair it, but i found that i had to install madwifi . And i'm having another problem:
$ yaourt -S madwifi
error: destino no encontrado: linux-headers<3.0.2
and I don't know how to install a higher version of linux-headers.
Can you help me? Thank you!
PS: Sorry for my english.

You don't need to install anything, ath9k has been part of the kernel for a loooooong time. Rather than trying to install random drivers, you should diagnose why wireless doesn't work out of the box. The first place to look is dmesg, so after you try to connect, run dmesg and then post here it's output.

I have arch running on an eeepc 1001p here. The wifi "just worked" without needing to install any extra packages.

Sorry I found that what I had to do was execute NetworkManager.
Thank you both.
