Terminal: Alt doesn't work anymore

I'm using XFCE4. Alt key doesn't work anymore in Terminal after I installed updates and rebooted (new kernel..). It works in Firefox, Konsole etc. It's very annoying because I'm using Irssi  and alt+[number] changes channels windows.  Not it just prints the number.

And I can set Terminal shortcuts such as alt+1 and they work. Also, alt key doesn't work with an another user.

Don't really know nothing more to say hmm I've looked settings (XFCE/Terminal) but have found nothing.

Re: Terminal: Alt doesn't work anymore

I've got exactly the same problem. After upgrade, I cannot swtich using alt+<number>. It works in e.g. chromium, yet doesn't work for irssi and alike. I've found out that this has been caused by gtk2 upgrade from 2.24.27-1 -> 2.24.28-1. When I rolled back my upgrade, it started working again.

Here I've opened the buglist task: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/26862
