[SOLVED] VLC AC3 Voice Sound Quiet

I can't seem to make VLC play AC3 sound correctly. The voice when some one talks is very quiet in comparison to all the music and effects. I have tried many things already, nothing of which worked for me. Now this same video works perfectly fine in totem player totem player. If any one knows how to fix this, please reply here. I'm using all the latest packages.

Re: [SOLVED] VLC AC3 Voice Sound Quiet

I have the same problem. It seems like vlc is having issues making stereo audio out of the AC3 stream (I could be wrong here). I have yet to find a solution, I tried reinstalling and even from the bare minimum vanilla install required to play a movie with vlc results in this problem. gstreamer based software doesn't seem to encounter this but i want my vlc back.
