[SOLVED] asus x101h - Gurb fails during installation

While installing -- grub posted a msg " saying error installing GRuB(see /dev/tty7 for output) ". Grub was not successfully installed

Installing it on /dev/sda (got windows on hd(0,0) i think)

here's what i did,

*once installation asked me to go in menu.lst and edit it.. i removed the comments 4 windows option

* chose /dev/sda

* error thing showed up

* on "okay" --> Grub was not installed sucessfully

changed an entry in syslinux.cfg for windows.. it had hd0 0 ... just changed it to hd0 1 (as my windows boot was on /dev/sda1).. got help from IRC(#archlinux)
