LCD Blanks halfway through boot on fresh install

Just did a fresh install of 32-bit arch on a Sony Vaio VGN-CR507E.

Grub loads. During Arch's boot, after udev, the screen blanks. There was a previous Arch install that I completely botched, so I decided to reinstall for lack of patience (Please don't judge). I reformatted /boot, /, and swap, but left /home intact, nuking previous dotfiles & folders.

Tried appending vga=773 to kernel line in grub, and a second reinstall in case I screwed something up.

Any ideas?

Video card is an intel (910, I think, but I don't remember.)
