Marching band music

Hello,

I'm in a marching band where i play a snare-drum. I would like to write music for my band (only percussion basicly). What software can i use? Programs like Rosegarden are too bloated, with functions I don't need at all.
It basicly needs to be note-editing with a playback function.

Thanks in advance,
Marco

Re: Marching band music

use hydrogen. lets you write drum patterns, and arrange patterns to create a song. i like playing guitar along with it.

Re: Marching band music

The problem with Hydrogen is that it isn't note-editing and it's for drums.
I only play 1 instrument: a snare-drum.
