I'm having problem creating PDF, PS and SVG files using 'print to file'.
I'm running GNOME and I use the same packages [and same versions]
as installed in another computer where it works.
The system is newly installed.
Error output [entire output] from Evince:
Error: May not be a PDF file (continuing anyway)
Error (193): Illegal character '{'
Error (202): Illegal character '}'
Error: PDF file is damaged - attempting to reconstruct xref table...
Error: Couldn't find trailer dictionary
Error: Couldn't read xref table
(evince:2505): EvinceDocument-WARNING **: libssp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
(evince:2505): EvinceDocument-WARNING **: Cannot load backend 'psdocument' since file '/usr/lib/evince/3/backends/libpsdocument.so' cannot be read.
Evince can open all other PDF files.

So to clarify, you are opening a pdf in evince, pressing Ctrl-P to print, selecting "Print to file" as your printer, and nothing appears in your home directory?
Can evince print to any other printers?
What is the actual intent, that is, what kind of input do you need to convert into what kind of output?

A corrupt PDF file is created in my home directory.
I do not know if Evince or any other program [1] can print to a printer because I do not have one.
[1] Evince was unable to open [these] files, all program was unable to create them.
The problem has been resolved [sorry for not posting immediately], I think the program
was some package faulty from pacman, as a bonus I got Epiphany to work.

If it's been resolved, it would be good practice to state how you solved it, and mark the thread [SOLVED].

Yeahh, how do I make it as solved, I couldn't find it?
I do not really remember, what I did because I fixed circa 20 issues.
In not sure libssp was the problem, after all, any document not(!) by 'print to file' worked
excellently; it was the creating and not(?) the reading that was the problem.
The error output was from reading with Evince, not creating the file.

Ooh, you just prepend ’[Solved]’ to the subject of the first post.
