Hello!
I use cdck to check how CD/DVD has been written. The problem with this method is that when you start cdck'ing a disk which wasn't spinning in the drive - it takes additional time to spin up and that time seems to be included in timing results. So cdck says that the checked CD has poor timings even though it's OK. So what is the best way to spin up a CD in drive before running "cdck -t"?

Access the disk before starting the test?

Yeah, but it takes some time... Is there a method to spin up instantly?

Install "sdparm" and then try "sdparm load" before you run the cdck command. Never tried it, but it should work.
