Update of wine 1.3.33 to 1.3.34 = ugly fonts in Steam

I just updated wine on my Arch 64 machine from 1.3.33 to 1.3.34 and now I have ugly fonts in Steam. Does anyone else have that problem now? By the way I'm using infinality patches for freetype2 and lib32-freetype2 on my machine.

I don't have this issue ( Arch64 ); perhaps you could post a scrot and/or any errors?

Just to clarify it is not all not fonts that look ugly under Steam now for me. It is just a few certain fonts on the main page for example, the section named "MAC", "VIDEOS" and "DEMOES" and "search in store" those fonts now seem to be non anti-aliased

Steam > Settings > Interface > [ ] Enable DirectWrite for improved font smoothing and kerning.

If your issue is fonts not being anti-aliased, then that option should be the cause. It's greyed out for me though. ( Personally that's how it's always looked to me, then again I typically avoid the Steam client like the plague. )

Not being anti-aliased isn't "ugly", try be more specific in the title. Also please use the [ code ] tags for posting error messages, etc. Thanks.

The option is greyed out for me as well. It seems like problem is in just in Steam. I installed flash11 under the steam prefix as well and pop-up that comes up installing flash has the same fonts as above and they are non anti-aliased as well.

Did you use winetricks to install your steam prefix or did you do it on your own? You may need to grab a couple of fonts if you didn't. I just updated and everything looks fine on my Arch64 machine. I know that the winetricks steam prefix installs quite a few windows fonts for use with steam.
