Install with kernel-lts, mkinitcpio error - linux.preset doesn't exist

Hello,

I installed using archlinux-2011.08.19-netinstall-i686.iso with kernel26-lts and got the same sort of error as the OP in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=125591. (configure fails because /etc/mkinitcpio.d/linux.preset doesn't exist)

I temporarily copied kernel26.preset to linux.preset, which seems to work. (I removed linux.preset after installation).
You could create a link instead, but I suspect that it wont get used again after installation because mkinitcpio should find kernel26.preset anyway.

Looks to me like a problem with the installer, anyone got a better idea?

See Bug Report.

Off topic: The forum registration question is a bit of a PITA when using a windows box, and the box you are setting up in another room. Very welcoming... But VBox & an arch iso soon sorted that out wink

It's not so much to discourage new members but to protect the existing ones against spam / total newbies etc. Works beautifully.
