How to get O2 Micro SD card reader to work

For my first post here, I'll post something useful I found while googling.
To get an O2 Micro SD card reader (notorious for not working on linux) to work simply add
"options sdhci debug_quirks=0x40" to /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf and reboot. I've tested this, and it seems to work without a hitch. I've noticed a few threads that mentioned this problem, but didn't get solved, so I thought I give those of you, who, like me, couldn't figure out why the thing wasn't working. If there's a wiki page devoted to this, that already has this, then tell me and I'll facepalm right away smile
