How to determine DPI of monitor?

Hi,

I use a Dell 2407 monitor.  I want to improve the fonts on my machine, and
consistently run into the advice to "make sure your dpi settings are correct".

I have run

xdpyinfo | grep dots
  resolution:    93x92 dots per inch

Now, I need to verify that this is the DPI for my monitor.  I see all kinds of complicated formulae
here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xo … ze_and_DPI

Can't I just look up my Monitor on the Web and get the DPI for it?

Thanks,
--Nate

It could take more time than running a couple simple commands ;P
