Tetex and Lyx

I am trying to install the above pkg's but get a message that they are corrupted.  I use the packages for technical writing and having them is a need.  Can someone help out?

What server are you using? I expect if you change to a different mirror, you'll be ok. However, you'll probably want to report the bug.

how do I get rid of the downloaded pkg's.  Every time i try to upgrade it doesn't download new packages, yet pacman -R won't remove them

The downloaded packages exist in:

/var/cache/pacman/pkg

You can remove them all if you wish.

pacman -Scc is another way to remove them all.
