I would like to install spotify but im not sure which way i should go about it. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using wine vs the AUR package? Im running KDE as my desktop environment. Thanks for any opinions.

To me it's always preferable to run an app natively than through wine, unless there's some feature you can't access unless you run the Windows version. There's nothing to be lost by trying the native app first.

Wine has definetly the advantage that you have some fun until your program works as expected
Just joking... if the program runs natively under arch there is imho just one way - use the native package - use the AUR way!

Check the AUR page for the native client for a link describing how to download and link some older versions of libraries required to play local music files. Works great otherwise.
