is there a way using ncmpcpp to add all songs from media library to a playlist in one shot ?

Not in one shot but quite fast is this method:
1) Go to media library (5) and switch to three column mode (press 5 again if you're in two column mode)
2) put cursor in the left column and press "Shift + `" and type "g" to sort by genre
3) Browse through your genres and press "space" to add all songs of the genre to song list
Assuming that you don't have countless genres this is quite fast

That depends on your keyboard layout. On my de-latin1, pressing / requires shift and leaving the home row. If that's no RSI source…
