I never Googled something about this, so I just start one.
I have a ITE CIR 8708 integrated in my ideapad Y450 and a MCE remote control. Here's how I played with them - still can't get it work:
1. irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 /tmp/lircconf or irw: neither work
2. ir-keytable shows device name and /dev/input/eventX, ir-keytable -t has output.
3. Modified /etc/rc_keymaps/mce-rc6 (didn't remember, but something like, sorry ) according to ir-keytable -t output, then ir-keytable shows keycode.
4. [...2 days without progress...] ir-keytable -p LIRC and now irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 /tmp/lircconf works, but at somewhere it tells me "No toggle bit mask found, But I'm sure RC6 has a toggle bit!"
5. re-run irrecord with -f option, works and get a lot of keys whose signal lengths are 1, And irw output is not correct.
6. re-run irrecord without -f, but this time after "found gap: 77xxx" it stops reacting and after 10secs tells me no signal received.
What should I do now?
