The README.md file has everything to get started so I wont copy and paste it here.
As a package maintainer, I use a program to watch websites for changes to check for new versions.
Sometimes watching only the git repo for new tags is sufficient and is better in some ways. (no need to filter output, uses less bandwidth, less false positives)
I couldn't find a tool that did it, so I wrote my own.

removed the tagurit package from the aur, and now made it available as a gem, please see README.md for more info.
