Posting Guidelines
· DO NOT post full resolution screenshots! You can use the "mogrify" command (pacman -S imagemagick) to make a thumbnail of your screenshot:
$ cp screenie.png thumb-screenie.png
$ mogrify -resize 250x250 thumb-screenie.png
Sizes Twenty percent of the original size is great for 1024x768 screenies. For bigger sizes (and especially for multi-monitor setups), we ask you to keep in mind not everyone uses broadband, and use an even smaller size (10% of a Full HD setup will still be 192x180, for example). NOTE: Anything wider than 250px or over 50Kb in size will be removed.
You can then upload these images to your server and use the following code to show them on the forum:

*Thanks to Thayer for the screenie (more...)
· Several websites offer free image hosting.
Use the "thumbnail for forums" link code that is supplied by the image host to post your thumbnail link.
· Once the new month begins please do not post new screenies in the old threads.
· If the screenshot has questionable material that might not be safe to view while at work or in a school setting, please post only a link and not a thumbnail, along with a mention of "Not Safe for Work". Posts that do not adhere to this are subject to deletion without notice at any time.
· Please try to include any links to your wallpaper or configs that you may have and/or the names of your icon theme, running apps, DE, etc. in the same post to reduce unnecessary clutter later.
***** Your screenshot will be replaced by a reminder if you do not follow these guidelines *****
* As a simple way to include information about your setup in the screenshot, you can use a tool like Archey, screenfetch or screenfo (all in AUR) to print out details about your window manager, font, shell etc., with a very attractive ASCII Arch logo...

Wow, wonderful. The decoration-less windows are ϋber-cool.
Here is a little screenshot of my laptop, wallpaper shamelessly stolen from a guy here in Arch forums.

As you can see since the icontask was released I'm using it and it let me have the toolbar to the left side without any worry.
Thanks kde for the moduability^^ and this version 4.8 is pretty smooth and cool.

That's nice! Can you share conky config? I'd like to do a calendar like that. :-)

Back to rocking wmii (since 2005! ) after trying DWM for a month. Lesson learned: productivity outweighs SLOC count.
(wallpaper)
wmii configured with Zukitwo-Dark color scheme.
Vim configured with Zenburn color scheme
Urxvt configured with my Zenburn terminal color scheme
Zsh configured with syntax highlighting and history search plugins
Tamzen programming font (my fork of Tamsyn) for monospaced bliss
Plus other dotfiles & scripts. Enjoy!

Sure but it's a bit of a mess. I guess it helps, here.

Can you give us info about firefox setup? How can you set tabs to appear on the decoration? Looks really cool!

Yes of course, so I'm using http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ox … ent=117962 as firefox theme.
What is great about it is that it let me have those buttons on the upper right corner .Then I choose the 4th appmenu's style in the option of this theme to have it in white.
To remove the titlebar I created a new window rule for firefox and choose no titlebar and frame.
It's really fantastic for having maximum space left without the need of fullscreen.
I hope it helps you.

Not too much change for me past 6 months. Changed some fonts, new conky-like wmii status bar and removed conky. Still really happy with wmii as my window manager: easy to learn, stable, configurable...

Good to see another wmii user in 2012. That's a nice font in your terminal by the way; what's it called?

Thanks to t4K1t for the 'makepkg not war' wallpaper and OBLiQUE for these baseline network, volume, and battery widgets that I will be building on.
Awesome WM, with muPDF, vim, and ranger shown running here (Chromium, MATLAB, GIMP, and others on other screens explains the mem usage xD ). Just got arch installed on my laptop over holiday break. Will be working on setting the desktop up again after I finish one last big project! Happy new year to all!
