ayuda xfce

hola a todos tengo configurada mi conección a internet con dhcp y funciona todo bien en el modo consola, cuando intento entrar en el xfce se queda colgado con una leyenda que dice (veryfing dns settings) alguien tiene idea de que puede estar pasando?
