ahci reset controller failed - new installation

Hi,

I've tried the last 2 days to install arch linux on a H55M-ED55 board / i3.
The live system (2011.08.19/usb) works fine on the hardware but when I try to
boot the installed system I get this udevd error:

ahci 000:02:00.0 reset controller  failed

followed by unlimited errorlines. Almost every line containing some ata stuff.
Tried to specify different ata and ahci related modules in rc.conf and mkinitcpiofs.conf
without success.
Tried to blacklist ahci without success. Running out of ideas.
I don't know if I get it right but is maybe the initramfs lacking the right modules for
my sata controller? The failsafe-image is not working either.

Does anyone have som ideas what to do next?

Thanks in advance.

Re: ahci reset controller failed - new installation

One short update:

Generated different initramfs-images with and without autodetect-hook manually.
Tried also to include different modules before the hooks.
It just makes no difference.

Could it be the case that there is an issue with the 3.1.6-1-Arch kernel and my hardware?
Is it possible to install a different kernel via the installation interface? Or
is it worth a try to compile a different kernel on the newly installed system (boot live-system, chroot etc.) or
maybe use an older installation medium?

What do you think? I really need some advice.

thanks.
