Hi guys.
I just want to ask what do you do when you upgrade kernel and need to reinstall the modules (ex. Virtuabox, Nvidia, etc..)?

The nvidia driver module will be updated for you when you do system upgrades ( # pacman -Syyu ), the same goes for virtualbox (if you installed from the arch repos). You shouldn't have to recompile any modules for these applications by yourself unless you're running a custom kernel.
vmware and a few others that aren't available in the arch repos will require you to rebuild the kernel modules. In the case of vmware, a mention of doing this is in the wiki:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vm … re_modules
In general, the bigger well known applications usually provide tools to rebuild the modules for you. In the case of virtualbox, this is:
# vboxbuildOther applications may not provide rebuilding tools, in that case you'll have to refer to the documentation of that application. There is no general answer to this question, the rebuilding directions will differ per application.
