some help with pysql

i just begun to learn some stuff in python, and have learned how to use the cgi module pretty well. But i want to learn how to use the pysqlite module. i have installed pysqlite from an AUR package i believe, and pysqlite.

i dont know how to start though. i tried to import pysqlite from idle and it didnt work.
i looked in my pacman.log and it installed. but i do a whereis and it doesnt show up.
if i type in sqlite from the command line i get the sqlite prompt, but i dont know where to set things up like a user name, password, etc... i dont know what the defaults are.

anyone maybe able to help me out here? . i apologize for all the newbieness.

ok um... nevermind,  i am just going to use MySQL for right now.
