I have searched the google over as much as I can stand without throwing something at my screen. I am working with a 32bit install of Arch and cannot seem to get this printer working at ALL... Error:
"Waiting for printer to become available."
I can't seem to pinpoint the reason behind this, but I'm planning on trying to find the ppd file from the windows install disk and do a raw installation via that method (which will hopefully work).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled this printer at least 15 times trying to nail down this issue and have gotten nowhere fast. Any and ALL help is welcome and GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Have you printed on other printers successfully?
How are you connected to the printer?
How are you installing it? CUPS?

sorry for the lack of detail... was a bit frustrated (and still am, a bit)...
I have printed on an Epson just fine... Canon has been tricky lately (working on a PKGBUILD in AUR for that)..
Printer has been connected by USB and by network (USB sometimes doesn't like to be detected)
Installed via AUR package and CUPS.
(UNFORTUNATELY) worked just fine on windows, so I know it's not the printer itself... Hoping I can get this to work because it is the last hurdle for a Windows refugee friend of mine that I was able to migrate over to Arch...
