So my cpu runs about 100F give or take 10 degrees.
I noticed the other day, converting a few ISO files to m4p
my temp was 200-220F - quite scary!
I recently replaced the cpu fan and thermal paste....
should I not use handbrake?
or is that normal?
Thanks

It's normal as encoding demand high processing capability. You should be fine as long as cpu fan works normally and environmental ventilation is good.

That's 93-104 for those of us who use Celcius ![]()
While it is normal for handbrake, as with all encoding, uses a lot of resources that temp may be a little high although I'm not au fait with laptops and encoding any more
